Our Kids BJJ program is designed to introduce children to the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment. The focus is teaching essential techniques such as control, escapes, and positional awareness through dynamic games and drills. This program emphasises physical skills and promotes character development by instilling values like discipline, respect, and manners. Through structured lessons, children learn the importance of perseverance and teamwork, while building confidence and self-control.

Character Development Chapters

RESPONSIBILITY • HEALTH • RESPECT • CITIZENSHIP • MANNERS • CARING

For each character development chapter completed, students will earn a special patch as recognition for their achievements. These patches are a fun and meaningful way for kids to track their progress, celebrate their personal growth, and demonstrate the positive traits they are learning in the program.

Class Format:

  • 15-minute warm-up: The class begins with a dynamic warm-up that prepares students physically and mentally for the day’s activities, enhancing flexibility, coordination, and focus.

  • 30-minute BJJ drills and sparring: Students work on techniques such as control and escapes through partner drills, followed by light sparring (rolling) to put their skills into practice in a controlled, safe environment.

  • 5-minute promotions: At the end of each class, eligible students can receive recognition for their hard work, with belts or stripes awarded as part of their progression.

  • 10-minute game: The class wraps up with a fun, game-based activity that reinforces BJJ concepts in a playful and engaging way, ensuring that the children leave the class with a positive experience and excitement for the next one.

By combining effective techniques with character-building lessons and tangible rewards for their efforts, our Kids BJJ program fosters a love for martial arts while encouraging growth both on and off the mat.
